Digital Radiographs
The photo to the right shows how small our sensors are compared to and adult toothbrush and a child sized toothbrush. The corners are rounded and help ease patient comfort.
We use digital x-rays instead of traditional film x-rays for a number of reasons including:
- Digital x-rays use as much as 80% less radiation than traditional x-rays.
- Digital x-rays are more comfortable.
- Digital x-rays are available for viewing almost instantly.
- We can zoom in and enhance digital images for improved diagnostics.
- Because digital x-rays don't require chemicals for developing or film for printing, they are better for the environment.

NOMAD Digital Xray
As a patient, you should know the NOMAD handheld x-ray is designed for safety and portability, with shielding to protect both the patient and operator, and is used to take high-quality images quickly and efficiently. It utilizes both primary and secondary shielding to minimize radiation exposure. The device is designed to be portable, allowing your dental staff to take x-rays while standing next to you, which can be helpful for patients who are anxious or have difficulty staying in a chair.

Digital Scanner
The Primescan is an intraoral scanner, meaning it scans the inside of your mouth to create a digital representation of your teeth and gums. Unlike traditional impressions, Primescan doesn't require you to hold a tray of impression material in your mouth. The scanner uses a small, handheld camera to capture the 3D images. It is known for its speed and accuracy, offering a more efficient and precise way to create digital models of your mouth. It can be used for various dental procedures, including crowns, bridges, veneers, aligners, and implants. The scanning process is generally more comfortable for patients compared to traditional impressions.

Dental Laser
The BLU dental laser is a cutting-edge tool that uses focused light energy to perform various soft tissue procedures with greater precision and comfort for patients, often reducing the need for anesthesia and post-operative discomfort. Here is how the laser is used:
Gingival contouring: Shaping and recontouring the gums to improve aesthetics and oral hygiene.
Frenectomy: Removing or releasing a frenulum (the tissue that connects the tongue or lip to the gums).
Lesion removal: Removing small, benign growths or lesions in the mouth.
Periodontal procedures: Addressing gum disease and improving gum health.
Implant recovery: Removing excess tissue around dental implants to ensure proper fit and stability.

3D Printer
Having a 3D printer in house enables us to create 3D printed dental models and appliances, reducing turnaround and chair time making it faster and more convenient not only for the office but for our patients as well!
Digital Camera
We take digital images for your electronic file for several reasons, including tracking development or an area of concern. We also send digital images to the lab that does our restorative work so they can create customized restorations that blend in beautifully with your other teeth.
Our high-resolution camera allows us to take pictures with incredible detail so that you get the absolute best results. We feel this is an excellent tool to help educate our patients.
